SKU Search

This section defines all the filters that can be used to search for a SKU in the Inventory Manager. The filters are organized in the following category boxes:

Warehouse Selection

If you have multiple warehouses, the system allows you to select one from the drop-down to perform a search on its inventory.

Fields to View

Controls the display of information for each SKU in the Search Results section. These views can be limited by adjusting user permissions in the User Account Manager.

NOTE: Some fields are not available to all users based upon permissions (i.e., Costs and Price). The permissions are labeled Inventory Manager - Fields to View - name of field.     

 

 

Filter by SKU Information

Provides the ability to search for SKUs using a variety of SKU search parameters including inventory level ranges.

Barcode - Any barcode associated to the SKU.  An exact barcode match is required to display SKU search results.

Short Description – An internal SKU identifier, between 10 and 128 characters.

SKU - A unique individual operator designed SKU, between 8 and 255 characters. SKUs containing any part of the entered search term are displayed.

SKU ID - The unique CORESense SKU identifier. An exact SKU ID match is required to display SKU search results when searching by SKU ID  

Vendor - The vendor from which you purchase the SKU. Only active vendors are displayed.

UPC - This is a custom attribute field, not all installations will include this feature, it is used to pass to Amazon automatically in the feed.

Default Fulfillment Method - The SKU default fulfillment method.

Manufacturer - The SKU manufacturer.

Default COGS - Provides the ability to only display SKUs where the unit cost for any associated vendors falls between an entered cost range. This cost does not include case pricing, quantity discounts or any incentives offered by the vendor.

 

Greater Than $ - SKUs whose associated vendor unit cost is greater than or equal to the entered value are displayed.

By leaving this blank, CORESense assumes no lower level cost limit. Therefore, all SKUs whose associated vendor unit cost is less than or equal to the entered Less Than $ value are displayed.

 

Less Than $- SKUs whose associated vendor unit cost is less than or equal to the entered value are displayed.

By leaving this blank, CORESense assumes no upper level cost limit. Therefore, all SKUs whose associated vendor unit cost is greater than or equal to the entered Greater Than $ value are displayed.

In Stock- Provides the ability to only display SKUs where combined In Stock inventory level for all warehouses falls between an entered inventory level range.  This includes the combined In Stock inventory level for all warehouses.

Backordered - Provides the ability to only display SKUs whose Backordered inventory level falls between an entered inventory level range.

In PO - Provides the ability to only display SKUs currently part of a purchase order whose quantity is within the range entered into the greater than and less than fields.  

In Open Return - By selecting this option, only SKUs whose Minimum level is less than the combined In Stock inventory level for all warehouses are displayed.

Show On-The-Fly? - SKUs can be designated as On-The-Fly or manual and by checking this box only SKUs designated as available On-The-Fly are displayed.

Discontinued - This enables the option of searching for discontinued SKUs.  Marking a SKU as discontinued is a manual process.  This is only used in a search function, no other functionality is enabled with this command.

Delivery Signature Required and Lift Gate Delivery Required - Filter on SKUs that are assigned those delivery requirements based on size of product.

 

      

 

 

Filter by Product

The Filter by Product section provides a variety of product search parameter sections including General Attributes, Merchandise Hierarchy, and Custom General Attributes. SKUs related to products matching entered search criteria are displayed.

General Attributes - All standard product general attributes.

Product Name - The name of the product. SKUs relating to products containing any part of the entered search term are displayed.

Product ID - This is a sequential number assigned to a product created by the CORESense database.  This is not open to selection, only auto assigned.

Part Number - The product part number. To enable an exact part number match search, click the Exact Match box just below Part Number. Click None to the right of the Part Number box. "None" appears in the Part Number box. All products without a part number are displayed.

Product Type - The product type associated to the product. See Set the product type attributes for an introduction to product types. To display product type custom attributes in the Custom Product Information section, select a Product Type, and then click Search.

Category - The website category. SKUs related to products assigned to at least one of the selected categories are displayed. By selecting None, SKUs related to products not assigned to a website category are displayed.

Manufacturer - The product manufacturer

Status - The product status

Text - SKUs related to products containing any part of the entered text search term are displayed

Text area - SKUs related to products containing any part of the entered text area search term are displayed.

Select - SKUs related to all products containing the selected option are displayed.

Multiple Select - SKUs related to products containing at least one of the selected options are displayed.

Product Custom Information - All product type custom general attributes. See Set the product type attributes for an introduction to product types.

Searching by Product Custom Information is performed identical to searching by Custom General Attributes, explained above.

Search Results

 

The table below described each of the elements that are displayed in the Search Results window. The result columns will vary depending on which Fields to View options are checked.

Element

Description

Identifies how many pages of results there are and which page you are currently on. Click the Next and Previous buttons to move through the result pages.

SKU number

Name of warehouse SKU is located

The first number represents the quantity in stock and the second identifies the quantity that is currently in transfer to that warehouse.

The Status column lists any quantity that are either Reserved, In the Purchase Order queue, In a Purchase Order, or In an Open Return. Click on theicon-mag_glass.png icon of any status quantity to view and act upon that particular section of the SKU.

The Costs column list any cost for each status type.

Avg Each - The average cost per SKU in the In Stock inventory level. Note: This value is calculated using the actual cost of each individual SKU, not the unit cost associated to the default vendor.

 

In Stock - The total cost of inventory in the In Stock inventory level. Note: This value is calculated using the actual cost of each individual SKU, not the unit cost associated to the default vendor.

 

In PO - The total In PO inventory level cost. Note: This value is calculated by adding the cost of all SKUs and associated quantities currently in open stock, drop-ship and just-in-time purchase orders.

 

In Open Return- SKU is in an open R&A phase, the physical item has not been received into the warehouse yet.
