Add Gift Certificate or Value Card to Order

A Gift Certificate and/or Value Card can be purchased on an order in any denomination. Once purchased, an e-mail notification can be sent to the purchasing customer or gift recipient.

From the order's Order Items screen, click on the Add New Gift Certificate or  Add New Value Card link to initiate adding it to an order. The corresponding manager opens in a separate tab.

From the Gift Certificate Manager, enter the general attributes for a gift certificate as described below.

Certification Code - Generated by the CORESense System.

Verification Code - an optional tracking code that you would need to maintain outside of the CORESense system.

Emailed To:  - The email address the confirmation email is to be sent to.

Cust # - Pre-fills when order initiated from Customer Manager.

Order Number - The current order number is populated so that the gift certificates is associated with the Order Items list.

Message - Text to be include on Gift Certificate.

Status - Verify that it is Active.

Expires - Enter a far-distant date only because it's a required field (most states do not allow gift certificates to expire)

Delivery Date - Enter a delivery date if desired.

Value  - Enter the value for the gift certificate.

Click Update.

In the Order Manager, click on the Order Items link to verify that the gift certificate has been added to the order.

The added gift certificate is listed under the Gift Certificates section of the Order Items screen. Click on thehammer-wrench.png  icon to edit the gift certificate or click on theicon-checkbox.png  icon to remove the gift certificate from the order.

From the Value Card Manager, enter the general attributes for a value card as described below.

Card Number  - Enter a valid number from your card system. Value card numbers are not managed in CORESense.

Cust # - Pre-fills when order initiated from Customer Manager.

Purchasing Order Number - Pre-fills when order initiated from Customer Manager.

Expires - Enter a valid expiration date for the card value.

Status - Verify that it is Active.

Total Credits - Enter the value for the gift certificate.

Click Update.

In the Order Manager, click on the Order Items link to verify that the value card has been added to the order.

The added value card is listed under the Value Card Credits section of the Order Items screen. Click on thehammer-wrench.png  icon to edit the value card or click on the icon-checkbox.png  icon to remove the value card from the order.
