Non-Integrated Carriers

Although CORESense is not integrated with all major carriers (such as DHL), and not all merchants will choose to use TrueShip or Malvern, the shipping processes required by non-integrated carriers can still be performed. The user is required to perform data entry between CORESense and any required third-party shipping software packages.

 

The following steps need to be addressed:

 

Print Shipping Label

A shipping label can be printed for a shipment using the Shipment Manager. For the purposes of this example, the standard Generic Shipping Label document template is used.

Search for the shipment in the Filter Shipments section, enter the Shipment ID, which is displayed on the upper right-hand corner of all picking and packing documents.

The shipment matching the Shipment ID displays within the Search Results section.

Click hammer-wrench.png  icon of the desired shipment to access the General Attributes.

In the Shipment header, click the Documents link.

Select Generic Shipping Label from the Functions drop-down.

To save the shipping label once viewed, check the Save viewed documents into archive checkbox, located at the upper-right corner of the Documents section.

To view the document, click View, located to the right of the Functions drop-down.

To print the Generic Shipping Label, right-click anywhere on the CORESense Document Template window.

notes.gif  Note: For Mozilla users, left-click anywhere on the CORESense Document Template window, then press Ctrl-P (hold down the Ctrl Key and press the P key at the same time).

Confirm the printer settings. Then, click Print.  The Generic Shipping Label will print on the selected printer.

 

 

Ship the Inventory Using the Non-integrated Carrier

When shipping using a non-integrated carrier, any additional shipping documents must  be printed and a tracking number must be generated independent of CORESense. Depending on the carrier, this process may require the use of a third-party software package. In the case of USPS, Endicia™ and Windowbook™ are common software packages for printing USPS shipping labels and generating tracking numbers.

 

Update the Shipment

When finished shipping the shipment, it is important to update the shipment with the ship date, tracking number, cost and shipment status.

When you are finished updating the shipment, it is important to update the order status and send the confirmation email.
