Shipping Defaults

 

The Shipping system settings are setup during the Implementation phase and reflect the Default settings for:

Tip: A shortcut to the Systems Settings Manager is clicking the System Settingsicon-sys_settings.pngicon from the Main Menu and then selecting the Password & Failed Login Policy link from the list.

Shipment Manager Defaults

The table below describes the purpose or use of each field for the Shipment Manager options.

 

Field

Description

Allow Weekend Shipment Pickup

Some shipping carriers allow weekend pickup of shipments, at a premium. Enabling this option will allow the website user to be charged that premium, with the expectation that the shipment will go out that day.

Default FedEx Account

If you have multiple FedEx account you can identify which account is the default for calculating shipping and live rates.

Default FedEx Account Per Channel

Allows you to set default FedEx accounts per sales channel. If the FedEx account is set for any channels then it displays that account, otherwise; it displays the System-wide default FedEx account.

Default Shipments Per Page

Enter the number of Shipments Per Page to be displayed in the Shipment Manager - Search Results section.

Default Shipment Printed Status

Select the shipment status to be the default within the Shipment Manager batch options.

Default Shipping Document Template

Choose the shipment document template to be used within the Shipment Manager batch options.

Delayed Delivery Min Days

Enter the minimum days that an order may be delayed.

Delayed Delivery Exception Order Status

Controls the order status that the delayed delivery cron will set for exceptions. For example, Delayed Delivery Exception.

Delayed Deliveries Reserve Inventory

Determine whether new Delayed Deliver orders will reserve inventory. The reservation only occurs at time of order creation.

Enable FedEx Address Classification

FedEx address validation to all addresses across all channels. This provides support for Residential or Commercial shipping designation of an order for FedEx shipping methods.

FedEx COD Default Values - For Order Shipment Only

Set defaults for COD > More Options > Edit screen for fields: Collectiond Type and Name/Address.

FedEx Default Box Dimensions

Ability to select box dimensions in FedEx Shipment Confirmation dialog be overridden with zeros. The default is  Assigned Carton Dimensions. If 0x0x0 is selected, dimension values populated will be 0 no matter which shipping box is selected.

Fedex List Rate Enabled

This is an obsolete setting, refer to setting,  FedEx Requested Rate Type

to set a List Rate type.

FedEx Shipping Label Options

Select the settings that are appropriate to your printer configuration and label display preferences.

FedEx Requested Rate Type

Determines whether or not discount rates will be requested or if List rates are to be assigned. Please confirm your eligibility with your FedEx account representative.

Ignore Voided Label Records

This is specific to UPS. Determines how the WorldShip import cron should process shipment records with the voided flag set = "Y."

If enabled, the WorldShip import will use a different workflow for shipment records which are voided by matching the Shipment ID and Tracking number. If a match in CORESense is found on the shipment, it will remove its tracking number and ship date and the order will be set to an exception status.

Live Shipping Adjustment

The percentage or fixed dollar markup applied to the real-time calculated UPS or FedEx shipping cost.

Acceptable formats include: "10%" (10% markup) and "10" ($10 markup).

Live Shipping Adjustment Excluded Channels

Channels Excluded for Live Shipping Adjustment, Live Shipping Adjustment will not be applied for these channels. Use Ctrl key to select multiple channels.

Malvern Error Order Status

Enter order status for orders that encounter an error during the Malvern import.

Order Subtotal Shipping Cost Calculation

Setting this will allow Order Subtotal Shipping Based on Retail Subtotal.

Pre-Order Calendar Default Fulfillment Days

Custom setting, not currently setup for users.  

Picker / Packer Department

If this system setting is set, the options for 'Picker' and 'Packer' in the Shipment Manager are further sorted by the department in the system setting.

Shipment Status Template Tag Not Shipped Default Text

Enter what should be displayed in the Ship Date column of the <shipment_status> template tag when the Ship Date is not set.

Take/Now Shipment Status Template Tag Default Text

Enter what should be displayed in the "Tracking" column of the <shipment_status> template tag when order item has delivery timing of Take/Now.

Take/Now Shipment Ship Date Template Tag Default Text

Enter what should be displayed in the "Ship Date" column of the <shipment_status> template tag when order item has delivery timing of Take/Now.

TrueShip Import Directory

The location in the file system where TrueShip XML, intended for automatic import into CORESense should be placed. CORESense will periodically look in this directory, process any files, then move them to an archive.

UPS Default Address Classification

Set the UPS Default Address Classification

Apply Settings

After you have entered all the information for the fields you want set, click on the Apply button at the bottom of the Password & Failed Login Policy screen to apply your entries. Click on Reset to clear the fields and change your entries.

Default Shipping Cost Drivers

Select a cost driver for each shipping method. Click on the radio button of the method that is to be your default shipping method.
