Shippo Shipping

Anyone using UPS live rate will have to use the Shippo integration. There is no cost for live rate with Shippo. The basic steps include:

  1. Setting up an account with Shippo
  2. Back Office System Settings setup
  3. Generating label in Shipment Manager
  4. Browser Printing Setup: Firefox and Chrome

NOTE: Shippo does not work on the Legacy POS so any send sales from the Legacy POS that use live rates from UPS or USPS is not supported.

Setup Shippo Account

You need to have a Shippo account if you want to continue using UPS live rates within CORESense.

Action

2

Once you have an account, contact CORESense support via the customer portal and request that the Shippo service be activated in your back office.

3

To use Shippo for UPS live rating or label generation, set up your carrier account within your Shippo account.

  1. Log in to your Shippo account at https://goshippo.com/

  2. Under Settings > Integrations > Carriers, click the “Add carrier account” button to set up your UPS account, and follow the steps.  You will need an invoice from a live account to integrate UPS with Shippo.

4

If you wish to use USPS live rating and label generation, it is already included with your Shippo account.

5

Generate a token to integrate Shippo with CORESense. On the Shippo site, under Settings > Integrations > API, generate a new token.  You can generate a live or testing token from here.

Back Office Setup

The Back Office steps below setup the connection between your Shippo account and your Shipping Method mappings.

Step

Action

1

In the Back Office, under System Settings > Shipping > Shippo, create a new Shippo Account, using the token you just generated. Click the Add or Update button to create the account.

If you have multiple Shippo Accounts, they can be added here, and then tied to channels using the Channel to Shippo Account Mapping table.  A default option may be selected, and this option will be used if no account is chosen on a channel.

3

For each Shippo Shipping Method you wish to use, within the Shipping Method manager, enable the "Is Shippo Method" check box, and confirm that the "Type" and "(Carrier) Shipping Service" is set to the correct Carrier Shipping Method.

4

Review the Shippo Mapping table at the bottom of the Shippo page in System Settings, to confirm that any Shippo Shipping method that you wish to use is correctly mapped to a Carrier Shipping Method inside of CORESense. If you are not using a method, leave the drop-down with the "Choose..." option displaying.

6

If any errors occurred, you'll get an error message.  Correct any details on the form that need to be corrected, and then click the Create Label button again.

7

Once the label has been generated successfully, it will appear in the pop-up window.

8

You can reload the label later by going to the shipment in the Shipment Manager.  Where the Print Label via Shippo button was you will now see a Display Shippo Label.  You can also retrieve the label from the Shippo site itself, under “Shipments.”

Printing Setup

Printing is done via the browser’s print functionality, and should work with a variety of makes and models of thermal printers, as long as the device is supported as a graphics-capable printer under your OS.  We have confirmed that printing works to two Zebra thermal printers:

Configure your printer as a Windows printer, if you have not done so already.  Zebra printers can be configured by first installing the Zebra Setup Utility. If you are using a USB cable to connect to the printer to the computer, and you have the Zebra Setup Utility, the printer will be automatically configured when it is connected to the computer.  Otherwise, please follow the setup instructions provided by Zebra.
