SKUs and Inventory

Each location within the warehouse hierarchy (warehouse, aisle, shelf, bin) can be identified as the default location for SKUs. The Warehouse Manager displays all related SKUs and current Inventory assigned to each sub-location.

Assign a Default Location (Manual)

SKUs are assigned their default warehouse location in the Inventory Manager. Once assigned, this default is populated when receiving purchase orders or when transferring SKUs between warehouses.

Step	Action
1	Search for SKU in Inventory Manager and click on the icon to access details.
2	Click on the Inventory Levels tab of the SKU.
3	Select a Warehouse from the Warehouse options.
4	Click on the icon to access the Location Picker and select the appropriate location designation for the SKU.
5	The Location ID is populated, click on Add.
6	The location is listed for the SKU. Click the icon to remove location designation.
7	In the Warehouse Manager all SKUs for that sub-location are then listed under teh Default SKUs section.

View Assigned Inventory

Inventory levels for SKUs assigned to a sub-location are listed under the Inventory section of each Warehouse Sub-location.

Reassign SKU Locations

There a couple of methods available to move a SKU from one existing warehouse location to another.

Transfer Builder

Use the Transfer Builder for individual SKU reassignment. This allows inter and intra SKU reassignment while maintaining the integrity of the associated cost.

Inventory with Locations Import

Use the Inventory with Locations import located under Tools > Data Import to manage bulk SKU reassignment.

You will need to zero out the existing inventory. This can be accomplished using either the Inventory with Locations import or the Physical Inventory Count Manager.
Use the Inventory with Location import to import quantities into the new location.

NOTE: It is important to note that doing this will not preserve cost, if you want to preserve cost, you need to transfer the inventory using the Transfer Builder, which does not have bulk transfer capability, it is by individual SKUs.
