Warehouse Management Overview

The Warehouse Manager allows you to create your warehouse floor plan with the specificity that you desire. The system functionality includes creation of intra-warehouse locations using any naming convention that is found in your warehouse, such as: zone, section, aisle, shelf and bins. You can also create defaults for how products are sourced from your warehouses, and link specific product SKUs to warehouses, as well as sub-locations within a warehouse.

The following provides a listing of warehousing capabilities:

Supports multiple warehouses, where each warehouse can have its own unique "topography", including support for unlimited locations "types" and hierarchical depth. For example, Aisle > Shelf > Bin.
Warehouse locations can be marked as unavailable for fulfillment, which can be used for areas where inventory is not available for sale, such as holding zones.
Design and print unlimited warehouse location labels directly from the CORESense Back Office
SKUs can be stored in one or more warehouse locations
Perform a physical inventory count
Transfer inventory within a warehouse and between multiple warehouses.

Warehouse Tasks

Below are the common tasks that can be completed through the Warehouse Manager.

Update a warehouse or create a new one and set the general attributes including the warehouse shipping address.
Create warehouse location templates, which enable you to batch create warehouse locations in the next step, or in the future when adding new locations to an existing warehouse.
Create warehouse locations individually or in batch using location templates, defined in the previous step.
Assign the default location for each SKU.
Manually add, transfer, or receive inventory into the new locations.

Warehouse Organization

Per your company setup you might have one or more warehouses, with each warehouse containing sub-locations. In an effort to streamline the addition of new sub-locations, you can build templates that can be applied to any future sub-locations.
