Customer Account

This plug-in is used to display information about a customer’s account. This plug-in is also known as the account management plug-in. It controls which templates are to be displayed for account management purposes and controls which account management entities need to be processed.

Note: A plug-in editor does not exist for this plug-in, so edits are done by editing the template directly through the Templates Tab of the Website Template Manager.

Associated Templates

Templates the customer account/account management plug-in uses:

Template	Description
myaccount_protected	* Controls the look of the modifiable My Account page (after logging in, after checkout, or making changes to your billing or shipping address through my account).
edit_billing_protected	* Template that contains the modifiable edit billing form.
edit_shiping_protected	* Template that contains the modifiable edit shipping form.
change_password_protected	* Template that controls the look of the modifiable change your password form.
forget_password_page	Template for modifiable forgot password form (which is included by the protected forgot_password_protected template).

Note: * Even though some templates for this plug-in say protected, where noted, templates are unprotected.

Comments

Order History comments can be made available to customers through their website My Account page. This can be setup by modifying the Customer Account plug-in.

1. Modify the Customer Account plug-in options:

Order History Comments: Select Yes to activate feature; this value defaults to NO.
Order History Section Title: enter a text title for the comments section.

2. When Order History Comments is set to Yes, the following display in the My Account page immediately below the "My Orders" section:

Hyperlinked text that reads "Click here to view previous orders."

3. Clicking the text link opens an iframe that renders a table with one row for each PUBLIC comment in Customer Comments > Order History.

Two fields display:
- Date (alias of the Stamp field; mm/dd/yyyy format)
- Value (alias of the Message field)
A vertical scroll bar is provided for customers with data that exceeds the size of the iframe.
If HTML is included in the message text (tables, fonts, bullets, etc), it is rendered within the table row.
