Users have the ability to set custom order item fields on a line item with Connect POS, contact Support to request adding the Add Note capability. After a product is added to the cart, click on the line item and select Add Notes from the menu options.
Entered text is viewable from Order Manager > Order Items tab by clicking on the "Expand All" link in the upper right corner.
