Launch Pad Manager

The Launch Pad Manager allows you to launch multiple eBay auctions automatically based upon set product criteria. Launch Pads are designed to make the auction launching process more efficient and less time consuming, allowing you to launch more auctions in a shorter period of time.

The Launch Pad Manager enables you to perform the following tasks:

Follow the steps below to create and manage a Launch Pad.

>In the Search/New eBay Launch Pad section, enter a label for the new launch pad in the Name field and click on New Launch Pad>. Use the criteria filters to search for existing lunch Pads or click on Show All to view the complete list.

>Launch options display that allow you inventory and display options for the pad you are creating.  Select all the appropriate options for the new Launch Pad as described below.

Name - Change the label of the launch pad as needed.

Channel - select the appropriate channel option for the Launch Pad.

eBay Account - Select the appropriate eBay account for the Launch Pad.

Display Template - If you have created display templates, the are available from this drop-down, otherwise the default product one is used. Additional informationAdditional information.

The eBay template is comprised of various "static" content areas (i.e., shipping policies, payment policies, etc.) as well as dynamic pulls of information from the product attributes themselves (product type attribute information, additional descriptions, additional images, etc.). Work with your consultant or account manager to define the structure of the template or templates you wish to launch auctions with.

Use Variations? - Include configurations of the product.

Auction Type - Specifies the type of auction to launch.

  • Chinese (Standard Auction)  - Traditional bidding auctions with option for buy it now.

  • Product Default (as set in Products > Channels > eBay)

  • Fixed Price Item  - BIN (Buy It Now) only.

Launch Multiple-Quantity Entries - Identify if you want one auction launched with:

  • Multiple quantities or

  • Multiple auctions with only one quantity or

  • One Multiple-Quantity Auction Per Configuration (Note: this option includes additional scheduling, click hereclick hereOne Multiple-Quantity Auction Per Configuration Scheduler

    When One Multiple-Quantity Auction Per Configuration is selected, there are additional scheduling options:

    General Options
    Ability to denote a Do Not Start Before date and time at the Product Level.

    Maintain Options

    Stagger the start of each configuration level auction within an individual auction by predetermined increments of 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 120, 240, 360 minutes in the Stagger Every drop-down.
    Identify maximum quantity to list per day.

Duration - Select a time period for the launched auctions.

Status - Click Active triggers the Launch Pad to launch an auction. The auction is then available the next time the eBay cron runs, which occurs at 15-minute intervals.

Use Launch Windows - Use set times for the launch created in System Settings > Channels > eBay >  Launch Pad Launching Windows

Only Launch Auctions for Available Inventory? - If yes, only launches when inventory is available.

Automatically De-list Unavailable Items? - If yes, removes items when inventory is not available.

>Click Update to save setup entries. Continue with adding products to the launch pad.

>The Add Product function includes adding individuals products to the Launch pad, making batch updates to products assigned to the pad, removing products from the pad, and filter product performance.

Click on the Add new Product button and search   for the item(s) to be added or enter its product ID, and click the Next button.

Note: Currently, products must be added individually to Launch Pads. There is no ability to upload multiple products.

Enter your configuration quantities and click Add Product.

NOTE: Inventory is updated every 15 minutes across all channels.

Select the General Options you want for inventory reservation and launch settings. If you selected One Multiple-Quantity Auction Per Configuration setup, click hereclick hereWhen One Multiple-Quantity Auction Per Configuration is selected, there are additional scheduling options:

For each Launch Pad product, you can specify a series of automated auction launch settings including:

  • Reserve - To reduce or eliminate overselling of product inventory, choose to reserve inventory when launching an auction.

  • Repeat Daily - Choose to repeat the launching of auctions at a specified time or maintain a specified quantity of auctions at any one point in time.

  • Maintain - By specifying a maintained schedule, you can set a daily maximum in order to spread auctions out over a series of days. To limit the days and times that auctions are automatically launched, select the "Yes" in the Use Launch Windows option.

Repeat Steps 5-7 for each product  you want to include in the Launch pad.

If you have several products in a Launch Pad, click Batch Update Selected to make updates.  Click 'Update Products' to save your changes when you are done selecting products and modifying the default attributes.

Make the changes that are to be applied to all products in the Launch pad and click Update Products.

To remove a product from the Launch Pad, check the box next it on the product list, and then click on the Remove Selected button.

Click on the Filter Criteria button to review product performance based on success percentage and margins.
