Value Card Redemption and Removal

Value cards can be redeemed directly from the value card using the Value Card Manager.    CORESense supports the ability to purchase or redeem a value card through all sales channel.

Redeem Value Order in Order Manager

This section explains how to apply redeem a value card for an order using the Office Manager.

Path: Orders > Order Manager > Billing

Follow the steps below to apply a value card to an order.

From the order's Order Items screen, click on the Billing link.

All value card redemptions are managed through the Value Cards box. Only value cards assigned to the customer who placed the order are available.

Select the card to be used from the Value Card drop-down list or enter the card number. To scan the value card, place the cursor in the Card Num field, and then scan the value card through the keyboard scanning device.

Enter the Amount of the card to be used against the order. Only up to the current value card available amount can be redeemed. If the amount entered is greater than the current amount available, CORESense displays the current amount available. The remaining balance would require another payment method.

If Successful, the value card amount is redeemed on the order and displays in the Value Card box. Th e following information is displayed for each successful value card redemption.

Date - The date and time on which the redemption was performed.

Hold By - The Holding Client customer number. By clicking the customer number, a new window opens displaying the associated customer account.

Card Num - The value card number. By clicking the value card number, a new window opens displaying the associated value card.

Redeemed - The redemption amount.

Actions - By clicking  in the Actions column, the associated value card redemption can be removed from the order.

If Unsuccessful, either the amount requested to be redeemed is greater than the current amount available, or the value card number does not match a value card in CORESense. Verify the values and try again.

Remove a Value Order Redemption

This section explains how to remove a value card redemption from an order using the Office Manager.

Path: Orders > Order Manager > Billing

Follow the steps below to remove a value card redemption from an order.

From the order's Order Items screen, click on the Billing link.

All value card redemptions are managed through the Value Cards box. Only value cards assigned to the customer who placed the order are available.

Click on the   icon next to the associated value card under the  Actions   column.

The system prompts you to confirm the removal. Click OK to remove the value card redemption.

The order's Balance Due is increased by the amount of the value card that was removed and the value card amount is increased back to its pre-redemption level.

A new form of payment must be applied to close out the Balance Due on the order.
