Using the Faceted Filter Administration and Faceted Filter Manager, you can perform the following tasks in managing you faceted filters.
Follow the steps below to update the profiles within your faceted filter hierarchy.

in the Faceted Filter Profile Manager, follow the steps below to add a new a faceted filter profile to a hierarchy and assign products.
If you need to make changes to a product type attribute, you will need to update your existing profiles accordingly. Follow the steps below to make those updates.
Important: After populating the new attributes and profiles, this will create duplicate listings in your hierarchy. For example, if you changed the attribute value for Audi A4 to Audi A-4, once population is done, both versions are listed in the hierarchy. To correct that, you need to update the original profile and delete the duplicate in the Faceted Filter Manager.

In the Faceted Filter Manager, select the hierarchy from the Hierarchy drop-down list and click the Search button. |

Select the profile level that the change is to be made by selecting the appropriate options from the drop-down lists. Click Search. |

The Results includes the duplicate profiles as generated by the changes made in the product type attribute value table. Click on an original profile icon to assign it the new attribute. Make a note of that ID (2) so you can distinguish it from the new one after you update the original. Important: It is recommended that you assign the new attribute value to your existing profiles so that you do not need to reassign all the related products to the new profile listings. |
