Faceted filtering provides more site wide searching capabilities for web sites. This function enables site visitors to progressively filter all products on a website by selecting attributes from various dimensions (or facets) of those items. For example, within the automobile industry, there are multiple attributes that you would need to filter on such as make, model, and year of a car.
In CORESense, this functionality is managed using two System Setting managers:

CORESense supports the creation of faceted filter profiles using WorldPac and ACES data in addition to customer generated data.
WORLDPAC imports original equipment and automotive replacement parts directly from manufacturers in the industry. They act as a reseller and their parts catalog is downloaded into back offices of those CORESense customers that wish to access it.
The WORLDPAC integration also requires the ACES tables (VCDB ACE file), which contain specific car IDs that translate the AAIA codes for the industry. WORLDPAC uses theses IDs to match the parts to the appropriate car. IDs include the year, make and model for each car. Both the WORLDPAC and ACES files are downloaded so that the customer products can be recognized. Once the product type attributes are recognized by the fields, it updates the faceted filtering for year, make, and model.
Parts that are no longer in the WORLDPAC catalog are automatically marked as inactive in CORESense in order to prevent products that WORLDPAC no longer has from being displayed on the website.
Faceted filtering generation uses ACES vehicle fits rather than custom YMM WorldPAC fields. The stored ACES vehicle IDs can be exported from the Tools > Data Import > ACES Vehicle Export.
