For each deal type there are general attributes that need to be selected. The fields are described in the table below.

Discount Type |
List of available deal types. All Types (except Free Gift) require additional Discount Details, which are entered in the box that displays when choosing a type. |
Label |
Name for the deal, internal identifier for users. Tip: The Label field is searchable so include keywords that are descriptive and easily identify the individual deal. The Label field displays prominently in the Search Results. |
Channels |
Sales channels that deal is to be applied. Tip: To select more than one channel, hold down Ctrl key and click on each applicable channel. Deal discounts can be applied to all sales channels except for eBay and Amazon. |
POS Locations |
The way this criteria works is that if only the POS channel is selected, then the deal would apply to all POS terminals. If the POS Channel's criteria is further refined by selecting POS terminals, then the deal would apply only to those selected POS terminals. |
POS Terminals |

In House Account Departments |
List of IHAs that a deal can be applied to. |
Start/End Dates |
To have the system automatically manage the time that this promotion is in effect, set the Starts On and >Ends On times by selecting the radio dials in front of the date fields.

Active |
The Deal Manager functions in real-time; therefore, the system defaults a deal to Inactive so that a promotion isn’t live while it is being created. |
Coupon Code |
If customers are required to enter a specific code to activate the deal, enter that code in the Coupon Code field. Once the General Attributes are saved, the Special Message field displays so that you can customize the customer's coupon code entry validation.

Single Use |
Identifies deal as only being available once per customer. |
Exclusive |
Identifies that the promotion cannot be combined with other offers, select the Exclusive option = Yes. |
Rounding |
Determines how discount total is to rounded. |
Recurring Order |
When you select "Yes" the promotion only applies to an initial and all recurring orders.
