Recurring Order Overview

The recurring order functionality allows products to be automatically ordered on a scheduled basis, i.e., weekly, monthly, quarterly. This functionality impacts multiple areas of the system for setup, order  input and order management. You will need to contact CORESense Support to have this feature activated.

NOTE: As an order is created, the system assigns the intended payment type against the order and once the next order lifecycle occurs, the authorization is initiated.

System Settings

There are five system settings located under Order Lifecycle Management > Orders that can be set to lead time, notification, and order status.

Recurring Order Lead Time

Enter the number of days  in advance that you want recurring orders created in advance of their due date.

Recurring Order Email Notification Lead Time

Enter the number of days in advance that you want to email a notification to the customer before their next recurring order.

Recurring Order Email Notification Template

Select the email template that is to be used as the recurring order email notification.

Recurring Order Initial Order Status

Select the Order Status for the status you want assigned to newly generated recurring orders. Order status IDs are under Technical Configuration > Order Status table. A new status can be added for this purpose.

Recurring Order Credit Card Exception Order Status

Select the Order Status for the status you want assigned to newly generated recurring orders that have a credit card exemption. Order status IDs are under Technical Configuration > Order Status table. A new status can be added for this purpose.

Technical Configuration

Under the Technical Configuration tables, go to the Recurring Order Schedules to setup the drop-down list of frequency in which you want to support for recurring orders. The label is the customer-facing option listed in the drop-down list and the number of days reflect each label.

Product Attributes

Products need to be identified as available for recurring order selection. This is managed from the Product Manager > Custom General Attributes fields labeled, Supports Recurring Orders. Select "YES" if you want the product available for recurring orders.
